Who has she played? It'd be hard to really recommend a beginner character for someone who's played the game exactly once and doesn't enjoy the game other than Kirby. How much time do you have to teach her, and how good are your best friends?

She probably won't like it unless she finds it in her own time to enjoy the game. Making people play games to enjoy them just doesn't work out. I hated fighting games because I was basically forced to play them by my friend and I never had any fun because he would kick my ass, and I never wanted to learn because it wasn't fun in the first place.

Then eventually I started playing them in my own time years later and started enjoying them because I was playing them at my own pace. It's gonna be real hard to convince someone who doesn't like the game to like it in a competitive money match setting.
