[HELP] My dog just bit my 4 y/o

Well, you're definitely making me think. If we can't get the kid to leave Wally alone, we won't have any good choices. Nobody close will be able to take him. Can a dog that has spent nearly all his time (I may be away from him for a couple hours every month) with one person for over 13 years recover from rehoming? I know this sounds like a shitty question and the other option is terrible and I hate it. But I can't handle the idea of him starving himself or just giving up and dying of loneliness. We went on vacation once and he didn't eat for 3 days until we got home. He has a bunch of other bad behaviors that wouldn't be acceptable in a normal situation that will probably make finding him a new home difficult. I hope I'm just being a drama queen. I'm sorry.
