This probably won’t help much but I started to play guitar in 2019 after only playing a ukulele for like a year. I don’t understand the blues scale or any of the other scales even if explained to me a thousand times but I figured out how to play the blues. I know people will hate me for saying that but it’s true. I understand notes and chords and I can watch people play and listen and learn but when you start talking about math and start showing charts and shit I shut off. I think there are other guitarists that are similar. I have a good ear and can play blues with heart and soul but I don’t understand the science if explained to me.
