It’s looking like minimum wage will be upped to 14 euro an hour in the budget (not certain but likely) So if you worked 40 hours, take home pay would be approx 1800 a month So that’s 3600 between the pair of you. Finding somewhere to rent will be approx 1500 a month, then I’d budget 100 a week on food so 400-500 a month That’s 2000. Then wifi is about 60 a month, say 20 euro a month each for phone bills. Then say 200 a month for electricity, gas and bins. That’s about 2300 to stay alive. Leaving you with 1300 a month to spend as you would like. Now obviously other expenses crop up and you would want to be saving etc. Also as every other comment points out, we have a huge housing crisis now so even people who are happy to pay 2000 a month for accommodation can’t find anywhere. Usually finding a house or room takes about 3 months now.
