Help us pick a sandals! Royal Barbados vs. Grenada vs. Royal Bahamian

I've only been to Barbados, can't speak to the others. However, my experience was worth every penny.

We didn't stay at the Royal resort, just the original one. We did that because no matter which you stay at, you get full access to all restaurants and amenities, so we figured we'd just save a bit of money.

Got a beach front room. The view was terrific, the staff was very pleasant. All the restaurants were wonderful, but the tops for me were Butch's Chophouse for dinner and LA Parisienne for breakfast (and that awesome rooftop view). Between the two resorts you've got plenty of options for pools, some are quite lively (the infinity pool on the Royal side has a DJ, games, aerobics) while others are incredibly laid back.

We did a catamaran excursion in Carlisle Bay that was set up through Sandals. They took us snorkeling over a shipwreck, more snorkeling with fish and turtles, lunch was included.

The beach was great. Some seaweed did roll in one day, but it got cleaned up pretty quick. For people that aren't familiar, the smell of it might be bothersome but I didn't find it that bad at all and as I said, it was dealt with quite promptly.

I believe it's the only resort with bowling lanes if that interests you. I didn't get a chance to go bowling as on the night we'd planned to do it, I was... Feeling the effects of the fully stocked bar in the room.

Lots of events going on every night. The pool below our room featured live music each night, but it wasn't bothersome at all. Mostly acoustic stuff, some piano stuff as well. Very relaxing to help unwind in the evening.

If I had to offer one complaint... The orange juice wasn't very good. That's about it.
