Help please

My 7500 omega, full 69 BiS heroes die constantly in Cosmic Midtown, it's just something that happens if you aren't paying almost perfect attention.

Fighting Man Ape and dodging all his attacks when a pair of sentinels destroy you with a rocket barrage is just something we have to get used to.

You can minimise your deaths by:

1) CONSTANT VIGILANCE! You'll die to some things no matter what (Gorgon Charge, I'm looking at you), but otherwise you need to get into the habit of making sure there's sufficient space between you and the boss that you can escape if they either start running towards you (you do not want to be meleed by anything as Magneto, you wil die), or you need to get out of Fire/Poison/Cosmic Death Puddles.

2) Pay attention to trash around boss fights. It can kill you ridiculously easily. If you find yourself dying for no reason the chance are some tiny utterly ignorable AIM turret has been plinking at you from the edge of the screen for thousands of damage.

3) Equip a Ziggurat and use it judiciously to get away from and through the Death Packs of Doom (the Hydra Mechs, Latverian Cinderbots, Sentinel Clusters, MGH mutants) which will otherwise do significant damage to you.

4) Practice fighting the bosses in their GREEN terminal versions. This is especially important for things like Kurse, who have very distinct animations for some abilities (smoke grenade, jump-cleave) but no actual telegraph. It can be hard to spot those in Midtown with everything going on, but it can also help you avoid yet another run back (and possible missing loot) if you catch it in time.

It's worth Green Raiding every week - you can find groups either here or in LFG channel that will accept anyone. Don't be intimidated, Green Muspelheim is very forgiving so there's a low barrier for entry. It's also great fun! You have a tiny chance of getting some Best in Game items there, but more importantly you'll stack racking up Eyes of Demonfire which will allow you to upgrade your items for more health and skill ranks. Eventually you'll also be able to use these for other things, but the iLvl 66 upgrades should be your top priority since you can then apply them to every level 60 character you ever level.

Once you're fully (or mostly) upgraded, have some good artifacts, and know the fights - you can either join a raiding supergroup or find a Red Raid in the LFG channel. Those are considerably more difficult - everything you're meant to avoid will kill you if you on't, and the DPS requirement to avoid rage timers is an actual concern. It's not like WoW progression raiding in which everyone must perform perfectly with 100% uptime, but it's considerably less forgiving than Green. The rewards are a better chance at those best in game items (or the means to ultimately craft them) and Hearts of Demonfire, which will let you upgrade to iLvl 69.

After all that, your character will be essentially as geared as is possible, an you'll still die in the Cosmic Patrol Zones if your attention lapses or you get unlucky!

Despite all this, it's tremendous fun, so stick with it!
