I agree with the most of this comment. OP, make sure to read the how-to on setting up BI for best CPU usage.
However; I found that switching from BVR to MP4 gave me SIGNIFICANTLY better streaming quality.
With all other things the same, I went from 4-5FPS with BVR to the full 15FPS with MP4 when streaming on my LAN. Just play around with a few and see how it works out for you.
BVR is nice because it allows reading while writing, but if you ever need video from you BI machine, it has to be transcoded to be viewable anywhere else. Not a big deal, but something I guess.
