Help with ingrown beard hair

Technique and tweak what products you are using. I deal with that kind of irritation on my neck as well but have adjusted my routines to deal with it. Try different soaps and sharper blades, maybe a different handle. While I am mostly a wet shaver, there is still one disposable product I use: Bic Twin Selects. If I use a glycerine soap, like Col Conk, make the best lather possible and shave in the shower with one of those Bics, I get zero irritation. Does it shave as close as a DE? No and that's why they work well with your issue. But they leave fairly clean shave with 1-2 passes with the grain. If you look at the blades close up, they are recessed ever so slightly under the plastic head so they don't go right down to the skin and thus prevents hair from growing back into your skin and causing folliculitis. And, they don't have those friction inducing "hydrating strips" either- which is nice. I just started doing that denim strop thing to them and I can get them to last a week I just found out in an experiment. If my coarse, thick and sensitive neck beard can handle it, yours might as well. Food for thought.
