Help a young man out would ya?

You're making a great start just by asking around. Spend an evening scrolling this sub (and others) and read/ask questions. Most people here are keen to help. Some of us have backgrounds similar to yours. Find some investment books and learn the principles. Someone recommended "Simple Path to Wealth" which is a great book to start.

Learn abour Roth IRA, Traditional IRA and 401k. Learn about sectors of the market and general terms/acronyms and their context to investors.

If looking to get into something as your starting - SPY or VTI are basic ETFs that follow the SP500 and the overall market respectively. Basically you will do good if market is up and not get off market is down.

Good rule of thumb......don't chase yield. You'll see that in here alot and it is good advice (in my opinion anyway).

Best of luck in your journey to knowledge. It will be a life long value to you. Cheers.
