I have a question:

Why are so many men (even intelligent ones) seemingly attracted to less intelligent women who are conventionally attractive, etc.?

Like I know so many above- and above-average-intelligence women who seem to either attract awful men who don’t respect their intellects or younger and "prettier" but often duller women(!) These are beautiful women, too!

I myself had two less educated men pursue me — the first guy turned out to be an unrepentant binge drinker whom I loved too blindly (he was artistic and wounded) until he basically ruined my life and ended up violating me, violently attacking me while intoxicated (after uttering the name of his ex, a not-too-bright and fairly narcissistic younger woman who was the mother of his child) which gave me pretty bad ptsd issues afterwards.

I just don’t understand why I know all of these brilliant beautiful women in their 30s - 40s and so many of their male counterparts are just going for younger and more naive/impressible women. It’s kind of pathetic to meet a 40 y.o. man (my age actually) who can only date like a 28 y.o. woman who thinks he’s the bomb bc she has less dating experience.

I’ve been told I look like I was b. in ‘92 even though I was b. in '77; I think it’s my personality/response (jokey, silly, funny, etc.) when I’m around interesting/intelligent people regardless of gender.
