Here is Bungie's PR Douchebag crapping all over their fanbase. X-Post from r/DestinyThe Game.

Why do you keep going on as if "XBL charts" are gospel? I don't need to take a look at them. I'd rather take a look at the publisher's quarterly reports and the sales numbers of said games. Those tell me exactly what I need to know about what's going on.

Microsoft didn't abandon COD. Activision abandoned Microsoft. Are you really so far gone to think after all the millions (possibly billions) Microsoft dumped into the franchise, they'd willingly walk away from it? Perhaps the need to market 1st parties over 3rd ultimately played a role, but that's pure speculation. I'd rather talk in facts, not unfounded speculation. Sony picked it up because they realize how a huge franchise will benefit their bottom line. Plain and simple.

BF Premium may include 4 "expansions", but at the price of nearly a full game...yet when Destiny does the same, you give it a slight. Destiny's expansion pass was $35 ($5 discount over buying the expansions separately) which included 2 expansions. They made it clear from the get-go the pass was only for the 1st and 2nd expansion. Also, no one is forcing you to buy anything. Of course they'll block content from a DLC if you haven't paid for it -- what would you expect them to do...give it out for free?

I am being a responsible consumer. This isn't a shitty business practice. The answers Luke gave were indeed shitty, immature, unprofessional, and downright insulting...but the practices as a whole aren't shitty. They're practical and logical. I understand why they're doing it. I even understand why some are upset over it. To each their own, though. I bought the digital version, so I only had to pay $40 for the taken king, which includes everything for me. As someone who got everything as it releases (aka "early adopter") I understand the possibility of having to pay more while newcomers get certain deals after the fact. Those are the terms of the business world.
