Here is why the UK has a problem with terrorism

I was banned from posting in my city's subreddit because of this exchange.

I stand by what I said.

The majority of incidents such as these are related to the extremism that proliferates through the ranks of one religion in particular. That's a damned shame, and I think something should be done about it. I don't know what should be done, but I know it should start with open, honest, frank discussion based around facts.

But any attempts to discuss facts are subverted by social justice warriors who conflate reasoned statements with hatespeech by putting words in your mouth. I didn't make any broad-reaching statements that aren't true, I resent any suggestion that I did, or that there was anything hateful about what I said.

Innocent people are being killed. This happened in Manchester recently and now it's on my doorstep. This could have been me or my loved ones. I'm still waiting to hear back from family to know that every one is safe. Before the dust has even settled, the thought police are out in force to silence anyone interested in talking about why these things are happening.

Disgusting, and I hold them every part as accountable for these tragedies as the terrorists themselves.
