It isn't as clear cut as you wish it to be. As a community no we did not go over board, you can not just take the community as a whole and judge them as one entire basket. I expressed myself correctly and so did the majority of people. We were displeased and therefor said so. However there was a portion of people who did go overboard. Do not group me with them, ty.

Hero had multiple opportunities to fix what has occurred and decided to go down in a ball of fire. That was his choice. When your in the spot light there is going to be a huge amount of pressure and that will never change. If you decide to go into the spot light you can either learn to handle the heat or burn. Hero burned by choice.

I can understand why you want to White Knight this type of situation, and I have tried to make posts positioning myself similar to your post... the problem is there is no natural ground as you try to portray here.

Being a public figure will always gain attention and good or bad attention is amplified. The community in this case acted mature, but like always the immature ones are more easily noticed. Do not say the community went overboard where (like usually) its the few that screws up. This is a constant. Welcome to life.

Hero decided to react to the negativity he incurred rather then bowing out. He decided to explode and burn and overreact. He didnt jump off and that is his choice. You state it wouldnt be as extreme? What are you even talking about? How can you predict that? How could you even control the masses in such a way? Your making a theory based on impossibilities. Your point is moot.

Hero screwed up. He got angry at a portion of the community and toke out his anger on everyone. People are unhappy and expressing themselves. I agree that this subject should be dropped, but everything occurring is to be expected. That is life.
