Hey I'm the dude who got his family high on cannabutter update.

My elderly mother accidentally got into some marijuana brownies that my sister had bought when I went to visit them in California. It was my first time doing even though I have been smoking since the late 70's. I started way too young.

I should have realized I ate too much when I saw a look of fear on my sister's face when I broke off a huge chunk and ate it. It hit me about an hour and was like I have made a huge mistake. I ended up jumping into the shower and then went and laid down for a while in the bedroom.

When I went back out into the living room my mother seemed extremely upset and my sister didn't really appear to be helping much. I asked my sister what was going on and she told me that my mother had eaten a large chunk of the brownie. My brother in law was there too and had a big grin on his face.

My mother was having a lot of medical problems at the time. She had MS and a brain tumor that had completely changed her personality. Her reality was definitely not based in reality.

She was standing up so I sat her down on the couch and sat beside her. I am still pretty blasted at the time. She asked me if I was wizard and if I had put a spell on her. I just explained to her that she just needed to chill out and that once she peeked the rest would be down hill.

She wanted to go back to her bedroom so I helped her get there. There was some cheesecake in the frig so I would check up on her every now and then and bring her a small slice of it.

The next morning my mother told me that she had a dream that I had been bringing her cheesecake all night long. I just laughed and told her that was dream. We talked for quite a bit and she seemed almost close to normal. The first time in about 7 months since we had found out about the brain tumor. It was interesting.

A couple of days later I had to fly back home but I knew that would be the last time that I would see her. She ended up passing about 6 months later earlier this year.. But I do think about her getting into the brownie a lot and it makes me smile. I am glad it happened.
