Hey Reddit, did you ever get suspended or expelled from school? If so, what for?

Guess I'm late to the party here but I got a few stories.

First time I was suspended was in Grade 10 for buying some weed. Turns out my VP was following me and my friends in an unmarked police car with an officer. We were all hauled down to the office one by one the next day and told that they knew what we did, they had pictures, etc. As the thickheaded teenager I was, I vehemently denied it, so did my other friend.

But it turns out the other person with us had admitted we all skipped school to buy weed, the VP didn't actually have any pictures. He did admit later to me he was following us however. VP turned out to be a great guy though that saved my ass from tons of crap though.

Got suspended more times than I can count for skipping class, I just love the irony in that, it still gives me a good laugh.

The last time I was suspended was during the last half of Grade 11. This one actually kinda still makes me mad to this day. During lunch I went to a store with a few friends, grabbed a coffee and had a few smokes; the normal lunch for us. When we were in the store my one friend decided to steal a bunch of shit, me and my two other friends were completely unaware of this. As we walked outside we were all grabbed by the store security and marched into an office where we waited for police officers.

Eventually the police came and separated all of us into two groups and started to question us. I guess they felt like we were all lying because they marched us right out to their squad cars and tossed us into the back. Me and one of my friends actually had a very nice female officer who chatted with us and pretty much explained we were in the wrong place at the wrong time, she was really great person.

She drove us back to school, my other two friends in another squad car following behind. I remember when she parked and told us to hold on a minute, I instinctively went to grab the latch to open the door, not realizing it was a police car, you could see the officer holding back laughter after I said "oh yeah, we're in a cop car."

Eventually all four of us were marched into the VP's office while he spoke with the liaison officer for our school. He was a right old prick however, pretty much threatened to have us charged, yelling at us, just a very demeaning human being. No matter what we said he just didn't believe we had no knowledge of the theft, the person who stole wouldn't even admit that we didn't know, he sort of acted like we were all in on it.

Ended up getting suspended for 3 weeks for that. Best part was going home and telling my mom I was suspended for doing pretty much nothing, she took me out for coffee and lunches so many times that week. My dad was pretty rough on me however as he worked for the school board and I guess just had a reputation to maintain, I still never understood why he was so pissed.

Anyways those are the stories I got. I did some stupid stuff in high school and hung around some very stupid people, but I have some amazing memories I wouldn't trade away for anything.
