Hey Reddit, what are you sick of explaining to people?

I definitely get what you're saying, but from a moral standpoint I still can't be in favor of the electoral college, or honestly the senate.

Are the needs of the many lesser than the needs of the few because we need equality? I don't think so, but I also don't think it's right to cater to 55% of people and tell the 45% to fuck themselves.

What is the solution here? Honestly, I think the answer is more power given to the states. I'm a firm socialist so you can tell which side I favor, but the arguments that the right makes aren't all that bad.

I think certain things like economic policies need to be controlled at a federal level. If you allow states to choose who receives tax breaks and who pays for what I think you end up with businesses going to wherever the cheapest labor will be which is kind of a big problem. On the other hand, I think social issues and certain regulations need to be handled at a state level. Guns may cause higher violence in cities like NYC and LA, but people in Louisiana might need those guns to feed their families.

IDK, it's a messy situation as always. Just my two cents.
