I went on a 3 week trip to NM and CO with my aunt the summer before my freshman year and on the way back we stopped at a diner in BFE and sat next to this man and his son. The son and I got to talking and realized we had pretty much gone on the same trip but somehow forgot to mention where we were from.

I go into my second period, world history class and the teacher is asking everyone the usual... name, what did you do this summer, etc. I’m all excited to talk about my trip and two rows over and behind me I hear, “my name is Daniel and I went to NM and CO with my step dad.” I turn and look at this dude and he’s the same guy from the diner. Completely blew my mind.
