Hey what do you guys think of these cards , my wife's from child hood. , some first editions and unopened collector packs . And a few JOKEMON cards as well. What would my first move be to get these sold / appraised what's the difference between pocket monsters and the pokemon cards ? Thanks.

Pocket Monsters is the Japanese name for the cards. Vintage japanese cards have a blue back with "pocket monsters" written on them.

Those Southern Islands cards keep them sealed. The prices for those have gone up on ebay. Those cards and the 1st Ed. Machamp are the most expensive cards I saw at a glance. You also have a "banned" card - it is the japanese Sabrina holding the pokeball, so that is worth a little more than the other cards too.

The shadowless cards you have, (look up what a shadowless pokemon card is, if you don't know) and any 1st edition cards will also be worth more.

Honestly looking up these cards individually on ebay will be your best bet. Make sure to look at "sold listings" too to get a better idea on how much these cards are actually selling for.
