Hi guys... Feels like an awkward intro, but some questions... Want your opinion on Interracial dating abroad.

Honest answer: I don't speak for anyone else here, but my opinion of people like you will depend on why you got a BA in a language, specifically an Asian language that you have no heritage or cultural ties to, and why you came to Asia and decided to stay long-term. It's a little suspicious. What are you doing here that you couldn't possibly have done in the US? And why an East Asian country of all places, when you could have gone to Europe where you would assimilate better?

I have a certain degree of respect for everyone who's honest with themselves. If you are honest about your feelings of Orientalism, you're already miles ahead of 99% of asshole expat redditors.

And remember that peoples' opinions of you will change depending on your political beliefs regarding Asia. For example, if you feel entitled to an opinion on the diaoyu/senkaku islands as a 3rd wheel non-Asian foreigner, my respect for you drops into the negatives. If you accept that you're a foreigner with no business meddling in our politics, +1 to you.

In summary, 1. Why you chose Asia, and 2. Your level of entitlement / superiority complex / hostility towards local people and customs.
