Yes, I am suggesting limiting population growth as much as possible. No, that does not have to involve genocide. Good public policy and economic development already has that effect.

We're only squeezing people into shitty building blocks, packed together in dense urban areas, because it's the more profitable / easy solution. We could be designing cities in much better ways, with small-medium sized hubs surrounded by nature that are interconnected to larger metropolitan areas by good transportation infrastructure. It's more expensive, but it's still affordable if the state provides subsidies. It's entirely possible to build beautiful living spaces for everyone. You just have to make it a budget priority.
