Austria recently held elections. The results where shitty for everyone except rich white men, because ourr conservative christian party (ÖVP) and our "oh no we are not nazis" (yes they are) party (FPÖ) won. Also the green party went to shit and didn't make it into parliament. One of their billboards literally said "Be a man, vote for a women". One of their best men - Peter Pilz - made his own party, which was decent and made it into parliament. I voted for him. And now he has stepped back because of multiple sexual harrassment claims against him.

One of his coworkers documented over 40 instances of harassment and another women claims he groped her when he was drunk. All of that was a while ago, but the second woman decided to come forward now - because of the sudden publicity the election gave him according to her, and I suspect also becuase of Weistein, Spacey, Me too - and she has witnesses.

Of course people now suspect that this was all a smear campain. Maybe, just maybe, if it was a smear campaign he wouldn't have resigned.... Also a member of the FPÖ beat a women so badly that she had to be hospitalized and he still has his job. Other people are complaining because "how is that sexual harassment". He called the first women honey, touched her knee,.. during work, and groped the other ones breast.

Also, some of the parties decided to finally get an equal amount of male and female members. Of course that brings out all the "Why not choose the best people regardless of gender", "Muh democracy" and "Women don't go into politics. They don't care because of genetics" People

I am so pissed right now. Halp.
