High School football team is so dominant that other schools are forfeiting rather than play them

I went to Archbishop and left with a bitter taste in my mouth. I played on the baseball team and one year we won state with a walk off double in extras. The year before that, the football team lost in the state championship. The same year that my team won state, the football team got back to the championship but blew the game and lost. Both football teams came back after their loss and were celebrated for by having a big assembly and seemed like a whole week was dedicated for the football team. When my team won it, we came back expecting the same thing and maybe even something better because my team could actually finish a game. What we got were a few teachers telling us congratulations, no assemblies, and I think only an announcement over the mic that we won state. It is an academically tough school that only cares about money (13k/year tuition) and football. Only team in the conference, or maybe even state, that recruits football players and gives out scholarships to only football players. I met a lot of dumb kids that shouldn't have been anywhere close to a private school but were good at football. Fuck Archbishop Murphy, fuck the football team, fuck their greed. I hope every team forfeits against them and they get back to the dance and blow another championship. Fuck them.
