High School Sucks

Being half asian myself i can relate some to what youve said. Iused to think it was very linear and just do this and that. But I've learned more so that success is what you make it. I feel some pressure comes in that Its that our parents dont want us to throw away opportunities and become the "weak link" because think about it, what could that imply of them as parents since you are their kid. To me success is doing what you want, accomplishing goals you set yourself, and being happy with yourself and what you do. You need a goal to reach, plan to achieve it, and the will to carry out the work needed to get there. Now if you want straight up material success, my advice is work smart (make good choices, make your money work for you), avoid debt (dont go crazy on credit cards and student loans), live within your means, and save up money. You might not end up super rich but you'll live relatively comfortable the rest of your life. Plus If you're working hard and taking care of yourself paying your bills and happy, nobody can really tell you shit. But dont be mean to ppl or be overconfident about it lol
