High School teachers of Reddit, what is the one thing that you want your students to know that you’d never tell them in person?

On the other side of that, I had a job a Montgomery Wards when I was in 10th(?) Grade. The store was going out of business so inventory was dwindling down to what was left. I was helping out in the men's department when a customer approached me, obviously irritated ,and started asking me things like "why aren't these cheaper" and "why don't you mark this down, I can't even find anything I like" saying all this in a really "asshole" manner. I didn't really know what to tell him besides sorry. He proceeded to cuss me under his breath and threw a leather jacket he was trying on back on the rack( it had those long metal cords through the sleeve so it just kinduh hung there)The next day at school , last period we had a substitute teacher. Guess who it was . The same asshole who gave me grief at MY work the day before. He saw me when he turned around , paused , he remembered. So maybe I went a little far ,shoved my books of my desk , while he was talking, threw pencils into the ceiling . He never said anything to me. I guess he figured he had it coming. Last thing I did was a little bit before class was over I got up while he was talking , went to the window (second story)climbed out and scaled down the side , and went home.

TL:DR , guy who was a dick to me at my work, was my substitute the next day and I was , a dick back. Jump out window in protest
