Higher SMV guys enjoy life at all phases, don't let anyone else tell you differently!

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: This article is full of rationalization, internal inconsistencies, and a naive conception of reality. If you felt something was off about it, you are absolutely right.

The only thing specific I will say to this issue is that the things that give a man high value in certain stages of life do not generally have a high translatability to other stages, so the author's main argument (at least I think it's the main argument) is misleading. If you want to have high value in the stage of life that you are in, you need to understand the rules of game, and engage in problem-solving and goal-directed behavior to score points in that system. Duh.

These things should matter to you. Identify your problems, then try to solve them. Makes goals, and try to reach them. Or don't. Embrace nihilism, if you can handle that. But the worst type of human is the one who nihilistically tries to achieve some purpose. WTF? If you are trying to get something, the last thing you fucking need is the gutless pollyanna "don't worry at all" mentality.

That awkward moment when the people who tell the author to grow up are actually right.
