Thats wild. Easily a 2.5/3 hour round trip to have done that. And there was no BOLO out on his plate/car make and model for him to either been spotted on the freeway by any actual eyes or one of those fancy camera systems that catch plates and faces on digital imagery?

And while yes, I understand he was at large in Illinois, it should have been pretty obvious that WI was a possibility. When he was initially at large my partner and I (I'm from Milwaukee and just moved to Dane Co not too long ago) both discussed the scary possibility he could have been headed to Milwaukee to commit a second shooting. So I'd HOPE law enforcement also considered he would have border hopped.
