[Highlight] Earl Thomas Flips Off Seattle Sideline While Being Carted Off

Yeah, I don't really get this one. If the team had signed him to a long term extension and this happened right afterward, then the team would be screwed right now.

Thomas knew he would be 30 in 2019 when his contract is up. It's not like that part is any sort of surprise. So this whole "oh, he's going to be 30 now and can't get a deal" feeling is unfounded. That's not the team's fault. The fact that he's under contract now isn't the team's fault. Sure, he's contributed a lot to that defense, but he's been payed millions of dollars as a reward for it.

So reddit's whole "screw the organization, support the little guy" complex is kinda stupid in this situation.
