Say it’s a 7-7 game and a team has the ball in the redzone. The offensive team tries to throw it into the end zone, but the ref misses a pass interference call and the defender intercepts the ball and takes it back for a touchdown with a successful PAT after. What you have there is a 10-14 point swing. The offensive team was in position to score a touchdown or field goal allowing them to take a 14-7 or 10-7 lead, but instead they’re down 7-14 from the missed call. That’s a 10-14 point swing.
