HighSchoolers of the 90's (up to 1999) what was your high school life like, was there any specific trends or behaviours largely present?

My high school was alot of rednecks. Not the cool kind, but imagine like 3 main familys intertwined backwoods style. I was the new kid from out of state so to say the least I was almost immediately noticed and messed with for being different. Some were cool and eventually found my circle. With the assistance of booze and whatever other random things I decided to try for the first time and what to make a habit I made it through high school and only kept in touch with random ones. Some trends I fell into was alternative & metal music, MTV was just deciding music videos weren't relevant anymore, Bill Clinton was getting blow jobs at work, Times Square was just starting to clean up. Fun times...Wasn't miserable but high school definitely wasn't the best years of my life and I'm glad it wasn't
