Hijabs burn in India for the first time; Iran-inspired Muslim women hit streets in Kerala

I pretty much agree with everything you've said. Islam only has like one major text n we're taught that not even one word can be altered. This makes it hard to bring in reformation. So the people who'd like to stay in this religion are trying to re-interpret the texts. People like me believe it's easier to just leave the religion than trying to reform it.

The only disagreement is about how we deal with this issue. I don't think banning Hijabs in school will give us the outcome we're looking for. That's the Chinese way of dealing with religion. Making education more accessible, giving students more exposure to the world outside of their bubble, always having debates about religion are all good ways to tackle the issue. Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Religions are all based on irrational beliefs people have. We can't expect everything to just change in an instant. Considering ourselves superior to religious people or calling them penguins are doing more harm than good.
