Hilaria's Ancestors

In New England, this lineage ain't that special. An early European immigrant (ca 1608-1630) who lived long enough to have kids would have over 10,000 descendants by now. Nevermind that there were a ton of fraudulent ancestries produced in the 19th and early 20th century for Americans who wanted a spiritual/class claim to the Puritan elites. And even for those with legitimate early American ancestors, a lot of early settlers who were uneducated mercenaries or deported criminals were magically recast as learned and respected gentlemen at this time.

If her family used/is using any of the most common New England family trees to ground this lineage, there's a good chance they are fudged.

According to my family's paper family tree, I should be 50% English (give or take) from my mother's side. My DNA, however, links me mostly with mid-19th century German immigrants to New Jersey. Only trace British ancestry.
