Hillary Expected to Adopt All of Sanders’s Positions by Noon - The New Yorker

Wild rant incomming! You were warned!

Well, as far as the general election goes the Democratic elite have long accepted it as default behavior that they can expect tacit approval from their base. Hell, for the last 20 years many would vote for any (D) running just to keep the (R) out of the office. I did. I sacrificed my voting my conscience to keep a group I knew was a disaster out of the white house (and failed doing so.)

So the Democrat Elite feels it can offer some vague platforms, platitudes and policies during their stumping, yet continue to due the bidding of their corporate and lobbyist sponsors once they get the job. Maintain the status quo, don't rock the boat, and let the country cruise control back into stability. Because they know the (R) side of things is so fucked up crazy right now they could run a sack of rocks against it and win.

They think it will all die down once they keep the white house, and they can bide their time while the (R) party continues on its downward spiral. In a few years they can regain enough seats in the house and congress to move the country in the "right" direction.

Now, here comes a firebrand contender, with no ties to the democrat elite, no ties to a corporation, and suddenly they have to bend more to the left than they want to retain an eroding base,

What they fail to realize is that Americans of all sides of the political spectrum are sick and fucking tired of the same bullshit game in Washington. Sick of two choices in an internet based world that gives them thousands of choices on a daily basis real and chances to make their voice heard, even if no one is listening.

The old political game is dying, and neither side knows how to thrive in this new landscape.

I registered as a democrat a few months back, just because of Bernie. I don't agree with all of his ideas, but I cannot deny his honesty, it is refreshing, and someone needs to act NOW, not sit around and wait.

I've voted in 5 presidential elections, and many more state and local elections, but this is the first time I've actually felt like endorsing a candidate was actually the right thing to do, because he is saying what he truly believes and has a record to prove it. Not just saying it to maintain stable polling numbers.

I'll never fully align with democrats, I'll never fully align with republicans. I feel like a two-party system is an insult to a country this large and diverse. But if I have to play the game to help get rid of the current bullshit then so be it. Get this guy in office so we can show the country and the world that we all deserve better than two choices, constantly telling us what we want to hear instead of what we need to hear.

Get this guy in office so we can move forward.

Get this guy in office so we can preserve the Supreme Court.

Rant over.
