Hillary just unofficially pledged not to attack Bernie on Face the Nation

I just had my local dem leader go crazy on me.

I thought we were all friendly like. Working together for the Dem debates to have Bernie fans and Hillary fans come to the same place and have a debate watching party. DesignersforBernie are coming up with completely inoffensive Debate Bingo cards, we're gonna drink some brews, be all cool and progressive. Totally chill!

Well, I let her know that we were going to be pushing Voter Registration after the debates - and I'd been contacted by a fairly major guy in Va. politics. And I figured this is again where the Sanders supporters in my region and the more establishment Democrats can work together, since it's a goal for everyone, right? And also, because the fairly major guy in Va politics asked me to say hi to this local dem leader, and again we're not enemies, in fact, I thought we were acquaintance-friends!

She wrote me this strongly worded rant - mainly about not talking badly about other candidates (Hillary) but also that if Bernie lost, she was sick and tired of hearing that people wouldn't vote for whatever Democrat got the nomination. And then she went off on Bernie not being part of the Democratic party, and ended up with his abysmal record of working with women, and how disappointed she is with his record of progressivism.

But what REALLY got me is - she immediately called the person I had just spoken to - even though I had explicitly told her that he hadn't endorsed Bernie, nor had I asked him who he was endorsing, since it wasn't relevant. She also called his son. Who then called me to a.) nicely guide me through the website 90for90, and to also b.) gently tell me that I had to get along with the local democrats if I wanted to accomplish something. I think he came away from the phone call knowing that I'm not poking the establishment, but I'm so embarrassed that this is the first time I speak to him - because someone went and told on me.

I realize that she had a bad day yesterday with two Bernie supporters. These two ladies were just very pro-Bernie, and had posted something about needing more Debates in the general Democrat group. Nothing anti-Hillary. Neither of them were in my Bernie group, although one ended up joining and coming over to my house to get trained on getting Primary Ballot signatures, so that was cool. Another volunteer! (She was already volunteering, but she put me in on a FB group of over 340 people from her town! :) )

Anyhow. THIS was the publicly posted response the local dem leader gave to her:

[Bernie supporter's name] as I explained to you: I am the Founder and Director of the [FB Group] as well as the administrator of the Facebook group. The pinned post explains the policy of the group: "As we move into an exciting Democratic Primary season, please keep your posts about your favorite candidate focused on why you are excited about that candidate. Do not tear down another Democratic candidate. We are fortunate to have excellent candidates running for our presidential primary in stark contrast to the extensive line up for the Republican nominee. This group supports all Democratic candidates, committees and the Democratic Party. Feel free to make unfavorable posts against any Republican candidates."

I am a volunteer that has willingly and freely given my time for years to build up the progressive Democratic party in our region including being the Democratic nominee for the 17th House of Delegates twice and once for [local] City Council. Unlike Bernie Sanders who never did anything to build up the Democratic party. Bernie's original inner circle only has a 1 (woman) to 11 (man) ratio. Now I couldn't say that in the [FB Group] because it would be violating the group's policy.

If you want to contrast any of the other Democratic candidates with Bernie Sanders here then so be it. At least the rest of the Democratic candidates have worked to build up the party instead of running as an independent only to use the Democrats to caucus with them. It's like someone who always bums a ride, never chips in for gas and then when they want to go to the White House they try to hi-jack the car and run over the people who built it. #BringItOn #TheTruthIsPower #YouWantContrastYouGotIt #KeepItClean

So... how do I even work with this lady?
