Hiring manager proud to reject 35 applicants who didn’t have a social media friendly cover letter

So you set up a high bar with senseless gatekeeping hoops to jump through because you are too busy to give candidates personalized attention and look at their whole package individually. That's well and good.

Good candidates also can choose not to jump thought your bullshit hoop and choose to go for companies that askes for the usual cover letter + CV because they don't have the time for that shit.

Maybe you can get away with it if you are the hottest company in the world, pre-IPO. It still wouldn't be cool but you could get away with it. But you are a learning platform.

To top it off she made the tone deaf choice to brag about it on social media by trying to disguise it as a question.

If I was a serious qualified candidate and saw that post on LinkedIn and even if I followed the instructions and made past first round, I'd send an email and say please withdraw my application. These people must be miserable to work for.
