It's amazing how people blame Nomura for this shit. Nope, can't be Square's fault for announcing projects before there's anything more than a tech demo, can't be Square's fault for making Nomura and his team use completely new, unproven and still in-development game engines and tools, can't be Square's fault for making Nomura work on a dozen projects at a time, multiple of which as a director.

Nomura's the reason we have many of the good elements of the story, the characters, the warping and sword summoning mechanics and the visual style and people blame him instead of Square's fucking dumb business decisions, then Tabata comes along and rushes the game to a point where it was polished enough for release, but still rushed feeling and requiring an additional film and anime to get across important story elements and fans treat him like a hero. I'm not Tabata bashing, but I think Nomura deserves more credit than this shitty community gives him.
