Okay maybe upset wasn't the right word, but you have a problem with someone missing the birth of their child and I'm trying to figure out why. It's not the wife's feelings that matter to you, clearly. If it's the child's feelings that's pretty sad too. You say it's selfish or dumb but that's only the case if the other person involved, the wife, actually isn't cool with it. None of your logic makes sense, your only reasoning is "what I value is what everyone should value and if they don't they are stupid and selfish/trashy" lol.

No, people shouldn't stay silent when witnessing stupidity. I've witnessed plenty of it in this thread today.
