Really well done documentary but one gripe I have with it is that the console exclusive "Battlefield: Modern Combat" is once again skipped over and simply mentioned as "the console version of BF2", which is not true.

It's a legit Battlefield experience made from the ground up for consoles with its own maps and weapons and vehicles and with an experimental engine that laid the foundations for the now iconic Frostbite engine. It even had full clan support, rental servers and is the only Battlefield game to date to feature proximity voice chat, a feature that's constantly being asked for with each new installment in the series.

It only received the "2" in its name last minute to use the momentum of the then popular PC game but other than that (and being set in a similar modern setting) its a beast of its own and to many players was the very first contact with the Battlefield brand.

Far too often its impact on the series is neglected or downplayed, even by DICE themselves which is probably due to its title.

Unfortunately the servers shut down years ago and you're only able to play the single player campaign nowadays which isn't bad but very different from the online multiplayer. It's more like two games on one disc with just some assets being shared across the two.

Yeah, just wanted to mention that. The documentary is great! But I wish Modern Warfare was shown the respect it deserves.
