HIV: Is it really as simple as a pill a day?

can you get Triumeq instead of Atripla?

Triumeq is always listed as a first line therapy in every developed country I know of. Who the hell even uses Atripla anymore?!

Lipodystrophy!

Oh Jesus fucking Christ, this has been rare since the turn of the century. Even before Atripla. If you’re going to fear monger, you might as well tell them that Truvada has as much risk of lipodystrophy as any modern HIV regime. I literally do not know anyone who initiated therapy after 2005 who has anything that looks like Lipo

Atripla has serious warnings about suicidal ideation

...and I haven’t heard of Atripla being recommended as treatment since 2012.

Overall, this was the sort of HIV horror porn that adds to the stigma. And as someone who actually lived with Atripla for several years, your preoccupation with this one drug was a little weird to me.
