I have 2 kids, 3 and 6, EVERY time I'm near water with them outside of a swimming pool I just picture their little faces looking up from the bottom of wherever while they look for help that doesn't show up. It's seriously a terrible vision I have every time. They can both "swim" but we have a lot of rivers, lakes and the ocean where I live, they're all wayyyy different than a swimming pool and I make sure I drive that home every time we're near the water. I have done my best to explain how to swim out of a current not towards it, and as many of the hidden pit falls with all the different bodies of water we have. It still fucking scares me. I can't wait until their 30 something and I can stop worrying about them doing retarded shit.
