Hmm.... Interesting

I’m Tejano and my girlfriend is Black and Native American. We both work in the medical field, and really care about academics. We’ve talked about if we have a kid(s), their whole academic life, they’re going to be told shit like, “Wow, you must get all the scholarships since you’re Mexican, Black, AND Native American.” If they get into medical/law/business/grad school, they’re frequently going to questioned by White and Asian students about their resume. It’s not just their peers doubting, I know parents (my peers in 20 years) will question their resume too. All my girlfriend and I can do is just try to lead by example and teach our kids to be mentally tough enough to cut through all the BS, and focus on their business at hand. Every time college admission discussions get brought up, the message is loud and clear about how people really feel about Black and Latino students.
