Library Rules

  1. The library is a privledge. Not a right. Treat it as such. Respect and take care of the books you use. Do not write in them or tear out pages, other people would like to use the books too. If you damage a book you may be issued a fine.
  2. Absolutely NO food or drinks in my library. Books can be easily damaged by these items.
  3. Please turn in your books on time by the due date, or get the due date extended if you still need the book. Failure to return a book or to not return it on time may result in fines.
  4. Whisper only in the library. Others like peace and quiet to read and do their work. This is a library, not a Great Hall. Go elsewhere if you need to do loud group work.
  5. Books in the restricted section are there for a reason. You are not allowed to use them unless you have a signed note from a teacher. Do not fake these notes, I will check with the professor if I doubt authenticity.
  6. If you do not remember where you found a book that you're only using while your in the library, do not shove it back on the shelf. Place it on one of the book racks and I will return it to it's proper place. If you put the books on the wrong page it makes it difficult for other students to find the,
  7. Respect myself and the other students in the library. Do not fight or argue in my library or you will be asked to leave.
  8. No public displays of affection in the library please. It distracts some people while they study, and some just don't want to see that while they're trying to enjoy a book. The library is not your snogging corner.

If you break any of my rules there will be punishments, including, but not limited to: Loss of House Points, detentions to be served to my discretion, being kicked out of the library, and having your library privledges suspended.")
