Hoiball!!

Off-Ball PG who can shoot (Beverly, Mills, Hill, etc.), stretch 4 (Millsap, Ibaka, Anderson, Love, Niko who can shoot, etc.) and a 3&D player (Harris, Porter, KCP, McCollum, etc.) and you've opened up lanes for Butler and can play "Hoiball" with outside shooting. Hoiberg accidentally stumbled into a lineup that kind of worked at the end of the season. Imagine if those players were actually good? Hell, Rondo shooting well elevated the team greatly. Imagine if you had a point guard who could do that all the time

It's not like Butler was incompatible player with a motion offense. It's just that the FO bungled the opportunity to build one around him and always paired him with a subpar ball dominant slasher that killed any offensive movement we had (Rose, Wade). Movement will definitely increase this year, we've got nice perimeter shooting in LaVine and Markannen but little else to hang our hat on as of now. But it sucks we could have constructed an actual pace and space lineup and signed Rondo and Wade instead. Hopefully they treat MPJ or Doncic better but who the fuck knows

Not that Hoiberg is a good coach or anything. He fucking sucks. Just throwing it out there that as long as we are admitting Hoiberg is a gimmick coach (that we fired Thibs for) the front office is 90% responsible for putting the opposite of a spaced lineup out there the last few years and getting us into this mess
