Hollywood’s Shaky Summer Box Office Points to Larger Issues

It really doesn't help that Disney is legit making meh to great movies. While other big studios struggle and up doing terrible to ok movies.

I don't particularly like their live action remakes, but they seem to resonate a lot with the average moviegoer. While other studios are just trying to lazily replicate Disney, or trying to revive their franchises banking on name alone. It doesn't help either that people just don't go watch movies too often anymore. I remember my parents going to the movies in the 90s every friday, and every friday watching something different. Nowadays, most people go see 2-5 movies a year, everything else is streaming.

It feels like the industry is changing, and only Disney is really adapting on time. And even then, they have suffered. The last two Star Wars movies had their issues.
