Home office: How Apple is now enforcing the obligation to be present

An employee that doesn’t have to commute probably has 5-10% more mental and physical energy throughout the day than someone that had to commute in.

I’m 100% WFH, and the very few times I’ve gone into the office for some special occasion, I’ve noticed how much more stressful and slightly draining it is to go into the office.

Compared going into the office: * Wake up 30min to an hour+ early so you have time to get ready for the office and commute. * Shower, shave, and brush teeth * Put on less comfortable business clothes * Prepare a breakfast and possibly lunch * Commute to work (5 min to an hour+), possibly with traffic * Park * Walk into the office to your desk, possibly stopping to say hello and having small talk with several people along the way * Start the work day

VS

WFH: * Wake up 15-30 minutes before your workday starts * Shower, shave, and brush teeth (optional, can be done anytime during the day) * Put on some comfortable clothes * Prepare and eat breakfast (optional, can be done anytime during the day) * Walk over to your office/computer and start the workday
