Homeless man who gave away his last $20 buys home thanks to fundraiser

My city has far too few shelters and the ones we have are kind of awful, but we do have one stupendous day-center/warming-center for the homeless. They offer all kinds of planning assistance including financial planning (and legal aid and comprehensive medical assistance and "Dress for Success" and interview prep and a computer lab and housing assistance...). They really are working to help people get back on their feet and stay on their feet. I keep packets in my car that include a resource guide to local shelters/kitchens/free medical locations with this place highlighted on a bus routes map, and then I yammer to everyone about giving this place a shot because it's a real starting point. I wish there was an easy way to franchise NPOs, because every city could benefit from this.
