Homeschooling Is Out Of The Closet

This is absolutely true.

I watch this show on TLC called "Welcome to Plathville" it's about a fundamentalist Christian family who home educates their 9 kids in rural Georgia.

It's a reality show so keep that in mind.

Anyway, none of the kids received diplomas or took outside classes, none of them (yet) had the ability to get into colleges or the military. None of them have been able to be successful after leaving home. They've all had major issues due to their parents blocking them from the outside world entirely.

They are an extreme example of homeschooling gone wrong. The problem is, the average American sees people like that and thinks "homeschooling should be a crime!" Because these poor kids are truly hindered in life due to their parents improperly educating them.

I watch stuff like for entertainment, but in the back of my head I'm always a little nervous people will think that is the typical homeschool life.

We've already seen France outlaw homeschool due to the amount of kids their school system lost during the pandemic.

I'd like to imagine that Dr. Jill Biden, being a highly educated woman, will speak up soon behalf of the variety of education opportunities in America. Homeschooled children tend to be more successful when they teach college age. A higher percentage of them graduate after 4 years.

But quite frankly, you just never know what's going to happen.
