Honest opinions about DE

If funding for schools is your concern, you should know that a few years ago Laurel School District had so little money for payroll that they had to get a state payroll law waiver. They had less than 2 pay periods in the bank. Teachers and staff weren’t sure if they would get paid. The schools are shiny and new thanks to a referendum, but the construction funding is separate from the minimal operations budget. The newer teachers try their best but it’s still the hometown of an insurrectionist. Laurel school buildings are lipstick on a poorly funded pig. I suggest looking for public groups about the town on Facebook to get a look and feel.
