Honestly this has been the complete best moment in the series so far. Haven’t watched in a decade and forgot all about it. It’s such a lovely reunion.

Agreed. I don't understand why she seems to be universally beloved. For one, she's barely a character. She just kind of exists and occasionally pops in. But when she does pop in, she's almost always super obnoxious.

Right after the crash, when everyone else is doing everything they can to survive as a group, Rose just sits off by herself, being upset about Bernard. When Jack goes to talk to her, she completely ignores him. Then later on, when Charlie just got back from being literally hanged to death by Ethan, he is also sitting alone and being silent. Then she goes and gives him shit for it. She doesn't bring up when she was in a similar position as a way of saying she understands how he feels, but that he needs to get past it. No. She just treats him like a fucking idiot child for sitting alone while the group are trying to get stuff done. And then she chides him for not responding to her.

The thing which really frustrates me is that the show doesn't even try to portray this as hypocrisy. I'm fine with a character having flaws. This is Lost, after all. But the show doesn't even pretend to acknowledge that Rose is being a huge fucking hypocrite.
