Honestly cannot get away from this crap…

This has to stop. NPs are eroding the quality of care patients receive. They truly believe their education is proportional with that of physicians— which is so incredibly dangerous!

Because their services are cheaper for hospitals systems, they will continue to push this bs and get away with it. Everyone suffers as a result of their arrogance and utter lack of self awareness. Maybe I’m biased because I’m a PA and my father is a physician. We are both continually blown away at the current state of affairs. I made a conscious decision when I chose NOT to go to med school— being that I will always work under the supervision of a physician. This is what I signed up for. I am well aware that my education is rather superficial compared to an MD/DO. If I could do it all over again, I would go to med school because I love to learn and would have enjoyed the challenge and autonomy (at this point in my life)… but I didn’t, so here I am practicing within the scope I was aware of when I started grad school. I work with NPs that are truly dangerous, and it scares me that there are thousands upon thousands of others out there with the same willful ignorance, lack of basic knowledge, training, and self-awareness.
