Hong Kong Activist sentenced to 4 months of jail for 'insulting the national flag'

If we look back at history, we can likely see what the gameplan will be in dealing with China. Those in power in the US will feel threatened and will push propagnda to fuel right wing nationalism which can enable the US governement to do 2 major things. First, it will first push to create narratives that the US must invade and wage a war of some kind. And second, domestically it will create laws which censor and silence dissenters so that its fight for imperialism will go unchallenged by its own citizens.

The last time that China was out-trading the west was 200 years ago and the west's only method of turning that tide was through a series of wars (opium wars) and tons of gunboat diplomacy. China was forced under the heel of the west and was carved to pieces.

All Chinese know that this situation is similar to what they experienced 200 years ago and are not naive about the inevitable actions of the US and its other western allies. This is why China has been pushing to build up allies of its own so that it is not simply China vs the entire western world (like it was in the 1800s). Contrary to western propaganda, China has given lots of aid and investment to poor countries which is indeed helping them to develop. China is hoping that its new allies will choose to support them at least diplomatically when the US eventually starts getting aggressive with China.
